What To Look For When Buying CBD
When buying CBD there are a few things that you should always check to ensure you are getting what you are paying for.
What type of ingredients are used in the product? All the ingredients should be listed on the product.
All company information, terms and conditions, shipping and returns policy should available on the website.
Amount of CBD in Each Product?
Clear information on how much CBD is in each product must be shown. There is a growing number of products on the market suggesting you are buying CBD oil when in fact you are just buying hemp oil. Look carefully at the bottle to ensure the amount of milligrams (mg) of CBD contained within the product, along with full ingredient and advisory information on dosage is displayed clearly.
What Does Percentage and Milligram mean?
500mg CBD = 5% CBD
1000mg CBD =10% CBD
2000mg CBD = 20% CBD
Leaf Organics Ltd display both mg’s and %.
Always make sure the amount of CBD being sold in the product matches the lab report for each product.
Has the product been tested by a 3rd party laboratory and the reports on the company’s website? If the company does not mention lab reports or testing anywhere on their website, you should be very wary of purchasing a product from them.
Currently, there are no regulations regarding how often a CBD product must be tested. This means that a company with a lab report from 3-years ago, could technically claim their product is still “lab-tested.” However, testing should be repeated yearly as a minimum.
Each cannabinoid detected should be listed in the analysis, along with its concentration within that sample
How Much THC does the Products Contain?
There is some confusion in the industry over the legal limit for THC in CBD oils. To clarify the 0.2% figure refers to the cultivation of hemp it does not apply to the CBD products
For a CBD product to be legal, it can only contain a certain amount of THC. This has to be less than 0.1% per container and must be listed on the product. It is also good to cross-check the amount of THC against lab reports which shows as 0.01 on a report.
Where is The Hemp Sourced From?
Hemp is the primary source that CBD is extracted from, and the quality of that hemp plays a big factor in the quality and effectiveness of the product.
Hemp can be sourced from many different places, including Europe, China, and the United States. The US has nutrient-rich soil and superior cultivation standards, it is by far the best geographical location to cultivate hemp.
Leaf Organics Ltd CBD is in the USA.
What Type of CBD is in The Product?
There are 3 types of CBD Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum or CBD Isolate.
Understanding the difference between the three, and which type of CBD is uses in the product you are purchasing is extremely important. Full-spectrum is the best as it still contains all the naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes of the plant however not everyone is able to take or wants to take a full spectrum CBD product, so Leaf Organics gives you choice by providing both full spectrum and THC free CBD.
How Was The CBD Extracted?
There are several different methods of extracting CBD; however, CO2 extraction is the main method because it is safe and delivers the purest product.
Ethanol is a safe way to extracted CBD but if the plant is not correctly processed these chemicals may end up in final CBD product.
All Leaf Organics Ltd Products are C02 extracted.
Buying off Amazon.
You are not allowed to sell CBD on Amazon. Most products that are sold as CBD on Amazon are usually made from hemp oil, and may only contain a trace or no CBD at all.
